Ensuring the wellness of service dogs and fortifying the mental health of disabled veterans.
We Backup the Battle Buddy.
Our Mission
We recognize that the greatest protectors of disabled veterans—their service dogs—face immense healthcare costs, and veterans themselves often face social isolation. At Battle Buddy Backup (BBB), we tackle these challenges with a dual, integrated approach rooted in empathy and action.
The Dual Focus
Service Dog Wellness: We ease the financial burden on disabled veterans by directly funding health and wellness care for their service dogs. When the dog is healthy and ready for duty, the veteran is supported.
Veteran Community Outreach: We provide community events and resources to foster veteran mental health, ensuring no battle buddy stands alone
Official Mission Statement
"The mission of Battle Buddy Backup is to provide health and wellness care for the service dogs of disabled veterans and provide community outreach for veteran mental health."
Trust & Transparency
Key Commitments:
Zero Administrative Staff: Our operations are powered by dedicated, all-volunteer leadership. This means we have zero paid staff on the payroll.
Maximum Mission Impact: By keeping administrative overhead to an absolute minimum, we ensure that a greater percentage of your donation goes directly toward funding the health and wellness care for service dogs and supporting veteran community outreach.
Accountability: Our financial operations are overseen by a Chief Financial Officer (Melony Campini ) and guided by professional expertise (Ryan Bourque, CPA Consultant), ensuring every decision is made with fiscal responsibility.
Our Pledge to Integrity: Every Dollar Counts
At Battle Buddy Backup, trust is the foundation of our mission. We are committed to financial integrity and maximum impact.
Battle Buddy Health & Wellness FunD
Service dogs are the unsung heroes of disabled veterans, but their specialized care is often costly and not covered by standard insurance. We provide direct financial grants to cover essential, non-emergency veterinary care, supplies, and preventative wellness treatments—ensuring the veteran’s primary support system remains healthy and ready for duty.
How We Help
Community & Mental Wellness Outreach
Isolation is a major challenge for veterans. Our outreach program sponsors local community events, peer support gatherings, and social activities. We foster a strong, supportive network where veterans and their families can connect, share experiences, and fortify their mental health alongside their battle buddies.
